Cyclists injured in hit-and-run

TWO cyclists were hurt in a collision with a car which failed to stop at the scene.

One of the cyclists, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries in the collision and the other, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries after being in collision with a silver Ford Mondeo.

Both men were taken to hospital.

The incident happened at about 1am on Sunday, July 3 as the car was being driven along Cadeby Lane in Cadeby towards Melton Road.

The driver of the Ford Mondeo did not stop at the scene of the collision and police have appealed for help.

A police spokesperson said: “The driver of the Ford Mondeo failed to stop at the scene and police investigating want to appeal to the driver of the car to contact the police.”
