CSE survivors address conference

A CONFERENCE aiming to raise awareness of Rotherham’s CSE scandal and its repercussions is being hosted in the town today.

Key speakers at the One Voice for All conference, being held at the Holiday Inn, off West Bawtry Road, include the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Comissioner, DR Alan Billings, South Yorkshire Police’s Assistant Chief Cons Ingrid Lee and former Risky business worker Sarah Hughes.

Designed to draw on the experience of CSE survivors, the conference was organised in conjunction with Emma Jackson, the author of best-selling books on the subject Exploited and The End of My World.

A spokesman for Wag1 Ltd, who organised the conference which takes place from 9am to 4.30pm today, said: “From start to end the day is set to be an emotional rollercoaster.”

Trainee social workers and PCSO officer were among those expected to attend the conference, with tickets priced at £60-per-head.
