Burglars in car ram shutters to raid supermarket

BURGLARS stole cigarettes, phones and computer games after ramming the shutters at a Tesco in a Vauxhall Insignia.

Police are seeking four offenders after the vehicle was used to break into the store on Undergate Road in Dinnington.

The thieves used a dark Peugeot 308 to leave the scene after the incident, which happened shortly after 2am on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are carrying out a review of CCTV as well as making local enquiries.”
