Bomb disposal experts called in after raids in Swinton
A 44-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man are being questioned by South Yorkshire Police after a suspicious item was discovered at a property in Rowms Lane, Swinton, yesterday.
Bomb disposal experts were called to the property at around 11.30am to dispose of the item. A cordon remained in place until the scene was made safe.
The two people were arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply, as well as possession of a prohibited weapon.
