Blaze sweeps through Mexborough pub
TABLES, chairs and rubbish were set alight in an unoccupied pub in Mexborough on Monday night.
Three fire crews were called to The Highwoods, Elm Road, at about 9pm and prevented the blaze spreading from the bar area.
They left the scene at 10.15pm and the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
