Assault witnesses urged to come forward by police

The woman was assaulted by another woman in Mount Street, leading to Oates Street, in Masbrough, at around 3.55pm on Thursday.

The victim of the assault suffered a cut to her neck and was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Witnesses are being urged to come forward, particularly a man and a woman who were walking along the same path when the incident happened.

A Rotherham woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
