Arrest after Maltby post office robbery

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a post office hold-up in Maltby.

Officers were called to the Post Office, Rotherham Road, in Maltby, at around 10.20am last Thursday following reports of an attempted robbery.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said two men had allegedly entered the Post Office in possession of a suspected shotgun.

Nothing was stolen and no one was injured during the incident.

Police said today that a 26-year-old man from the Braithwell area of Doncaster had been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed pending further investigations.

Officers are still appealing for information and are still looking for the other man who was allegedly involved in the robbery.
