Rotherham teen driver crashed into THREE vehicles & forced people to jump out of way in escape bid
The uninsured driver reached speeds of up to 90mph and caused £10,000 of damage during the chase
A ‘dangerous’ Rotherham driver caused thousands of pounds of damage in a high-speed attempt to escape police, during which he collided with three vehicles including a bus.
Pedestrians were also forced to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the Audi Q2 vehicle being driven by 19-year-old Adam Tanveer, of James Street, Masbrough, Rotherham.

A police spokesperson said Tanveer, who was uninsured, began driving at speed after police officers travelling in a marked car near to where he was in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
The police spokesperson continued: “When he came across a marked police vehicle, Tanveer accelerated away, prompting officers to pursue him through Halifax. During the pursuit, he reached speeds of up to 90mph.
“The pursuit continued into Shibden Park, where two pedestrians were forced to jump out of the way to avoid being struck by the vehicle.
“Tanveer continued driving dangerously, colliding with a single-decker bus and causing its bumper to be torn off.
“The pursuit came to an end when the Audi collided with a van and another Audi, containing a man and his daughter.
“Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.
“The combined damaged caused was estimated to exceed £10,000.”
Tanveer was subsequently charged with, and admitted offences of dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
He appeared at Bradford Crown Court earlier this month when he was sentenced after admitting dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
Tanveer received a 13-month detention sentence in a young offenders’ institution, suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and disqualified from driving for two years.
Speaking after Tanveer was sentenced, Sergeant Andrew Bingham said: "This is yet another example of an offender putting members of the public at significant risk simply to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.
“As a result of the defendant's behaviour, numerous members of the public going about their daily business had their vehicles damaged, causing considerable inconvenience and financial cost, as well as impacting the wider community of Halifax.
“Our message is clear: stop before it's too late.
“A moment's decision to evade the police can have devastating consequences.”
