Kevin Wallace, managing director of All Print Supplies, parent company of Templeborough print company Andersons where Lynne worked, paid £30,000 to bring her home after the couple’s insurers refused to pay up for an ambulance flight or  £1,700 medical bills.

Lynne, of Whitehill Drive in Brinsworth, had lost peripheral vision in one eye several weeks before going on holiday, but had been assured she was safe to travel.

Mike (61), said his wife, the former landlady of the Florence pub on Moorgate Road, was a jovial woman who could make friends with anyone.

Lynne’s manager at Andersons,  Louise Stables, paid tribute on behalf of colleagues at Andersons, saying that she was popular and well thought-of.
