A REAL treat for classic car fanatics is being lined up in the town centre next week.

Whether you're an owner, restorer or simply an admirer of cars from a bygone age like the Hillman Imp, Triumph Vitesse or even an Austin A35, you might find this event takes your fancy.

Keeping vintage motors like these on the road can be made easier with a copy of the vehicles original workshop manual.

And more than 200 such manuals will be made available at £2 each in a one off sale starting at 9am next Monday at Rotherham Central Library.

The sale is expected to attract collectors as well as owners, as it has real rarities such as the manual for the original 1948 Land Rover in its first year of production and details of the Russian ambassador's limousine from the 1960s, known as the Moskvitch.

The library has commissioned the sale of the manuals because of a lack of space, along with a decline in demand for them.
