Chance to talk business at drop-in event

BUSINESSES are being invited to learn more about new tendering support at an event next week.

The free event in High Melton next Friday, backed by Business Doncaster and Doncaster Chamber, will see public sector organisations, procurement leaders, and groups operating in Doncaster and the wider region on hand to offer advice and guidance on how to bid for contracts, and discuss individual business needs in an informal drop-in setting.

Organisations already confirmed as attending include Doncaster Council, Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, St Leger Homes, Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation, Doncaster College, Constructionline, Efficiency North, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Competefor, Ministry of Defence, HM Prison Lindholme, Due North and Enterprise Europe Network.

Cllr Bill Mordue, Cabinet member for Business and Skills, said: “This February is our third annual Business Month, a chance for local companies to attend many great events and learn more about the opportunities that are available.

“This ‘meet the supplier’ networking event is a fantastic example of somewhere companies can speak directly to public sector organisations in an informal setting and find out more about how to bid for contracts, as well as learning about contracts that are available or upcoming.”
