Chance to have your say on Edlington fire station shake-up

The changes are part of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s budget cuts which mean that the service must save around £10 million by 2015.

As part of the planned cuts, the retained crew at Edlington will be removed.

Anyone wishing to discuss the proposals can attend a meeting at 6pm on December 5 at Edlington Victoria Primary School, Victoria Road.

The meeting is part of a 14-week consultation period which end on February 6, 2012.
