Car destroyed in Mexborough arson attack

ARSONISTS destroyed a car in Mexborough in the early hours of the morning (Friday).

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to Princess Street at 3.30am and tackled the fire for 35 minutes.

There were two other incidents in the Dearne Valley last night (Thursday). The first was an accidental grass fire in Conisbrough on North Cliff Road at 7.40pm

The crew later dealt with a deliberate rubbish fire in Wombwell on Blythe Street at 10.05pm and were at the scene for half-an-hour.
