Businesses backing Bluebell Wood

Pentagon Toyota in Templeborough is hoping to raise £1,000 for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice by making a donation from every new or used car sold until December 20.

Steve Burrows, managing director, said: “We like to give back to our local communities wherever we can. 

“By setting aside a small sum from every car purchased, we are hoping to raise £1,000 and hopefully help make Christmas that little bit more special.”

Meanwhile, Mexborough’s Rayner Opticians is collecting selection boxes for children at the hospice and asking residents to donate at their High Street branch.

A spokeswman for the shop said: “After the success of our appeal last year, we’ve decided again to support the hospice again and collect this year.”
