Brit boys One Direction to headline at Arena

BRIT-winning boyband One Direction are heading for South Yorkshire next year.

Zayn, Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis, from Doncaster will perform at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on March 19 as part of their first headline tour.

The band, which was put together by Simon Cowell on the 2010 X Factor, has sold more than 1.6 million records in just four months, had 100 million views on YouTube, had two number one selling books, scored two major hit singles and a platinum selling debut album in the UK.

This week, the boys won Best Single for What Makes You Beautiful at the BRIT Awards.

The Sheffield gig is part of an 11-day UK tour.
