Body of Rotherham worker found at Didcot Power Station

THE body of one of two Rotherham men has been recovered from the rubble of Didcot Power Station.

Ken Cresswell (57), of Clifton, and John Shaw (61), of Kimberworth, have been missing since the site’s boiler house collapsed in February.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said a body was found at around 7pm on Wednesday and recovered from the site by specialist crews at around 6.15am on Thursday.

Workers and emergency services formed a guard of honour as the body was taken away from the site.

Formal identification on the body is yet to take place.

The body of their colleague Christopher Huxtable (34), from Swansea, was recovered from the site last week.

A fourth man killed — Michael Collings (53), from Teesside — was recovered at the time of the collapse.

Thames Valley Police said the families of Mr Cresswell and Mr Shaw had been informed and were being supported by specially trained officers.
