Best of horticulture at Tickhill and Harthill shows
GIANT vegetables and fabulous flowers had their day in the sun as villagers showed off their best specimens at two shows.
Among the leeks, onions and floral arrangements at Tickhill Horticultural Show were some tasty-looking cakes.
At Harthill’s own horticultural showcase, dazzling dahlias took their place alongside bumper parsnips and prized preserves.
