Attacker given suspended sentence for assault

A 36-YEAR OLD man has been given an 18-month suspended jail sentence for an assault.

Nathan Congreave, of Mappins Road, Catcliffe, was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday.

He was handed an 18 month jail term, suspended for two years, for an assault on Mr Roger Ward on June 30, 2016.

Congreave was cleared of an assault on a woman, possession of a claw hammer in public and theft.
