Arsonists target fork-lift truck

Arsonists targeted the vehicle on Broadwater, Bolton-on-Dearne, at about 2am and fire officers spent half-an-hour at the scene.

Arsonists also set fire to a Vauxhall Zafira car yesterday morning.

A fire crew was called to tackle the blaze on Back Lane, Nether Haugh, at 5am and spent an hour at the scene.

Meanwhile, a fire in Wombwell was caused by an unattended bar of chocolate.

The sweet had been left next to a cooker which had been left on and started a blaze.

A fire crew was called to the incident on Pearson’s Field at 4.30pm yesterday and spent 40 minutes bringing the fire under control.

Arsonists also torched a sofa outside a property on Sunday morning.

A fire crew was called out at to Cavendish Road, Holmes, at 9.10am.

Fire officers spent half-an-hour at the scene.
