Archbishop of York visits Rotherham Minster

THE sun shone and hundreds of people packed into Rotherham Minster as the Archbishop of York, the Most Rev and Rt Hon Dr John Sentamu, paid a visit the Diocese of Sheffield on Tuesday.

He led a service of Communion in the minster, held to celebrate his visit, and his time in Rotherham also included lunch at the town hall and a tour of the AMRC at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Catcliffe.

In the afternoon, the Archbishop went to Sheffield, addressing St Thomas’s, Crookes, and speaking individually to young interns from parishes across Sheffield.
