Appeal to find keys in connection with Bridlington murder

POLICE investigating the murder of landlady Bei Carter at a guest house in Bridlington have issued an appeal to locate a set of room keys.

The keys are for the room John Heald checked into on Thursday, July 17, and are similar to those shown in the picture but are for room number one.

Heald (53) is currently wanted in connection with the murder of Mrs Cater on Friday, July 18, and the search for him continues in the Rotherham area where it is believed he has fled to.

Detective chief inspector Matthew Baldwin from Humberside Police, who is leading the murder investigation, said: “It may be that the keys were lost or discarded in the Bridlington area and a number of enquiries have been made to try to find them.

“Alternatively, John Heald may have taken the keys with him and may have subsequently discarded them back in the South Yorkshire area.

“I would urge anyone who sees a set of keys like this to contact police.”

Heald is also wanted in connection with a serious offence in Sheffield on Sunday, July 13.

If anyone finds the keys contact the police incident room on 01377 208989.

Anyone who sees John Heald should call police on 999.
