Appeal after fatal crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a car crash which killed a Rotherham man.

Aamir Hussain (22) died after his red Seat Leon was involved at a smash on Bawtry Road, Sheffield at around 1.40am on Friday.

A passenger in his car also suffered "serious injuries", according to a police spokeswoman.

The road was closed for over 24 hours, reopening at around 7.30am on Saturday.

Officers urge anyone who witnessed the crash - or a dark-coloured hatchback seen near the scene at the time of the crash to contact them.

Call police on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 42 of Friday, June 19.
