Andrew picks up sixth international banking award

ROTHERHAM-born financial expert Andrew Wood has proved yet again that his employers can bank on him after picking up a top industry award for the sixth time.

The former Maltby Comprehensive pupil was named leading Pan-European Investment Analyst at the Thomson Reuters Extel Awards.

It is the sixth time in seven years that the 47-year-old has landed the coveted prize.

But the New York-based analyst will not be able to rest on his laurels as employers Sanford C. Bernstein are sending him to a new post in Singapore.

His proud mum Margaret Hinks, of Bramley, said that she was delighted with her son’s latest success in the financial industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.

“Of course I am incredibly proud of him for picking up all these awards,” she said.
