Amnesty for 'guns'
POLICE are holding an amnesty for a brand of starter pistol—because it is easily converted to fire live ammunition.
Tests on the Olympic .380 BBM gun found that it could be altered, making it a prohibited weapon under the 1968 Firearms Act.
Forces across the country have called for owners to hand in the revolvers, and anyone who fails to do so by June 4 will be breaking the law.
