AFS on target with River Island contract

FASHION retailer River Island might have some of the hottest new fashions for sale in its shop windows but there is no chance of them setting fire to the catwalk.

Thanks to a new contract with Dinnington-based Assured Fire and Security the High Street store will be protected against any fashion disasters thanks to a range of fire alarms and sprinklers.

The firm looks set to continue meeting its growth targets with the contract, which will see them upgrade fire and security systems in stores throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

AFS will also be working on maintenance and sprinkler systems for River Island stores throughout the UK.

Managing director Simon Stokes said: “The extension of our relationship with River Island further strengthens our strategic plan to become the number one independent fire and security company in the UK,

“We have just had our most successful month on record and continue to exceed all expectations.

“We are well on course to meet our growth target of 37 per cent for 2010 even though we are only half way through the year.”
