Afghanistan veteran Leann shows off her medal
PROUD Leann Swift proudly holds with the medal she was awarded for doing her duty and serving with the Army in Afghanistan.
A clerical officer with the Adjutant General’s Corps of the 21 Engineer Regiment, Leann has spent a month a home in Rotherham after spending almost five months at Camp Bastion.
The 28-year-old former Clifton School pupil, who has lived with aunt and uncle Jason and Joanne Robinson in Herringthorpe since she was 14, joined up two years ago after working as a manager at Farm Foods.
Leann, who is based at the Claro Barracks in Ripon, and received the Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan on her return to the UK.
