South Anston home’s demolition approved
Parkstone House in South Anston served as a care home for more than 30 years before its closure in 2008.
Before that it served as the base for Kiveton Park Rural District Council, until the authority was abolished in 1974.
Jones Homes will knock down the building, off Crowgate, to make space for the five-bedroom properties after planning permission was given.
A Rotherham Borough Council spokesman said: “The proposal will provide an acceptable layout and design which would not cause harm to the residential amenity of the surrounding area or impact on the adjacent green belt.”
