THE Advertiser showed its support for the Toy Appeal by handing over gifts at Riverside Library.
The library is one of many across the borough that are drop-off points for people to donate gifts closer to home than at Parkgate Shopping or in the town centre.
Editor Andrew Mosley — pictured handing over gifts to Cllr Dave Sheppard, cabinet member for social inclusion — said: “The Advertiser has long been a supporter of the appeal, but this year, with the cost of living crisis and families still being impacted by the effects of the pandemic, it is more important than ever.
“We hope the toys will bring a lot of fun and enjoyment to youngsters on Christmas Day and beyond.”
