Plenty to build on, says Virgin boss John

JEROME D’Ambrosio took a season’s best for Virgin Racing in Monaco, finishing 15th in the spectacle-packed race.

The Belgian was the Dinnington team’s only finisher, completing the race ahead of both Hispania cars but behind the two Lotus men, after Timo Glock pulled out after 30 laps with a push rod failure.

Team Principal John Booth was happy with the overall performance as Virgin prepare for next week’s haul to Canada.

“We predicted that the race would be incident-filled and that we would need to be ready to take advantage of any opportunity that came our way—and that’s exactly what both drivers did,” he said.
