Would-be model with designs on success enlists Rotherham dress-maker

A WOULD-BE top model will make her bid for glory this weekend in an evening gown fashioned by a Rotherham dress-maker.

Jessica Jones (23, pictured) is competing in Miss Supermodel England in Barnsley tomorrow, having finished as runner-up last year.

She will be strutting her stuff in a prom-style dress created by Kerry Herne, of Rotherham-based House of Herne.

Jessica, from Sheffield, said: “I am also raising money for Zoe's baby hospice which helps babies and infants all over England who need palliative care or who are suffering with cancer.

“I thoroughly enjoy raising money for charity in the last two years I have raised over £2,600 for charities.

“I also enter pageant as a confidence boost and it makes me feel great about myself as some days I don’t as I suffer from Crohn’s Disease and postural orthostatic tachycardia, which I would like to raise awareness of.”
