CHARITY SHOP SUCCESS STORY: The volunteers at the town’s Oxfam shop in Buttercross Court continue to raise money. The co-ordinator of the volunteers is Tickhill woman Christine Gell. The shop is open six days a week for 50 weeks each year.

CASTING COMPLETE: Members of the cast of the 2015 Tickhill Together Group pantomime were chosen at the audition at Tickhill Institute. Director Sue Stevenson and her colleagues held their first rehearsal in the Northgate club on Monday. The production of Hansel and Gretel will be staged on December 2-5 with two performances including a matinee on December 5. Tickets on sale in the near future.

DEMENTIA CAFÉ: Townsfolk who have dementia or who are caring for someone with dementia can go along to the local café in Tickhill Methodist Church every third Tuesday of the month 10am-noon. The facility is supported by the Alzheimer’s Society. Training sessions for carers are held in the Parish Room led by Judith Barton, the first on Tuesday.
