RAINBOWS, BROWNIES AND GUIDES: The rainbows played outdoor games and the county chair of the Trefoil Guild came to present some books to the unit which they can use within their programme. The brownies did some more work on their friend to animals badge, as a refresher for the girls that started it before the summer holidays and so that the newer girls can catch up in readiness for a visit to Pets at Home. The guides spent the evening looking at the promise and completed a series of activities related to the different parts of it. The sessions were led by an assistant brownie leader who has decided to become an assistant guide leader as well for part of her qualification. The senior section met for the first time after the summer holidays in their new meeting place, The Ruddle Centre. The girls had a barbecue and made their promise.
