Wentworth folk concert is worth Waiting for

SHAWMS, sackbuts, curtals, recorders and the hurdy gurdy will be played with gusto at a traditional folk group’s Christmas concert.

Wentworth’s Holy Trinity Church is the venue for the York Waits’ festive feast, titled Make We Joy Now in this Fest, on Friday, December 20, at 7.30pm.

The Waits are popular performers of early music — from the Middle Ages to the Tudor period — and have played around the world since forming in the 1970s.
