Watch out, the tide's coming in to Rotherham!

SAND, deckchairs, fish and chips, ice-cream, fun and hopefully sun will be the order of the day as Rotherham-by-the-Sea returns next month

From Monday, August 8, to Saturday, August 13, All Saints’ Square will once again be transformed into a seaside resort, giving visitors the chance to go to the beach without leaving the borough.

The free event runs from 10am to 4.30pm each day and will include a fun fair, face-painting, cheerleading workshop, bingo and a limbo competition.

Fun-seekers can also have a go on the helter skelter, which is open every day except Saturday and craft workshops at the Arts Hub in the Imperial Buildings throughout the week.

On Tuesday, August 9, there will be in a pirate treasure hunt organised by the ACT for Rotherham business group.

For more details about the event, drop into the visitor centre in All Saints’ Square, which open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Wednesday and Friday and 9am until 1pm Thursdays and Saturdays, or phone 01709 835904.
