VIDEO: Rapper's new promo filmed at Liquid club

A YOUNG rapper hopes his new party anthem Take Off will help his music career do the same.

Rotherham-based Nem—real name Ben Wheeler—has already toured with Tinchy Stryder and opened for the likes of Chipmunk, Example and Wiley.

He hopes the new collaboration with Vex One will boost his stock further, with a longer-term goal of landing a major record deal.

Ben (24) said: “It’s a party anthem, about having a good time and not letting other people get you down.

“Originally I came up with the idea and it was a more simpler version that how it finally turned out.

“I went into the studio with Vex One, who produces as well as performs and we did the beat. Then he wrote a verse for it, which I liked and added on the end so it became a collaboration.

“The video turned out perfect, really. Much better than I was hoping."
