A LAMB born weeks before Christmas has been given a rather festive name by the winner of an Advertiser competition.
Dianne Waters, of Ravenfield, chose the name Twinkle for the new arrival at The Gables in Micklebring.
And she was presented with a framed photograph of the newly-named lamb by the Advertiser.
Twinkle arrived at The Gables earlier this month — one of a trio of unseasonably early births on the farm.
Shepherd Lizzie Spencer said it was the first time lambs had been born on the farm before Christmas in at least 64 years, since her dad Richard was born.
Another of the new arrivals was called Rikki, after Lizzie’s father, and Twinkle’s brother was named Noel.
