Treeton church opens tomorrow for Heritage Open Day

A CHURCH is opening its doors to visitors tomorrow (Saturday) as part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme.

St Helen’s Church in Treeton will be open from 10am to 4pm and there wll be a chance to find out more about the history and architecture from parishioners.

There will also be a display in the Brampton Chapel, produced by the Treeton Local History Group, and activities for adults and children.

Refreshments, including tasty homemade cakes and scones, will be served.

Meanwhile, Talbot Lane Methodist Church in the town centre will welcome visitors between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, September 15.

Entry to both open days is free.
