Travels with my Aunt at Rotherham Civic Theatre

ROTHERHAM'S Third Nail Theatre will be presenting a fast-paced, hilarious tale from the creator of the iconic Brighton Rock in Rotherham this month.

From Thursday to Saturday, May 27 to 29, Rotherham's Civic Theatre will be going around the world for the thrilling adventure Travels with my Aunt, by author Graham Greene.

Travels with my Aunt tells the story of Henry Pulling, a retired bank manager who loves nothing more than tending to his garden. However, when his quirky old Aunty Augusta turns up, his life turns upside down.

In need of a travelling companion she suggests a trip and before Henry can plant another dahlia, his bags are packed for a thrilling, globetrotting escapade.

But as her shady past starts to catch up, our retired banker from Blighty gets embroiled in an exciting world of crime, intrigue and espionage where family secrets are revealed in the most spectacular fashion.

Travels with my Aunt follows in the footsteps of other recent Third Nail productions, including September in the Rain, Can't Stand up for Falling Down, The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, Legless, Be My Baby, The Glee Club and April in Paris.

Since 1993 Third Nail has presented a wide range of critically acclaimed productions at Rotherham Civic Theatre, as well as regular productions in the community.

Travels with my Aunt will be taking to the stage of the Rotherham Civic Theatre from Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 May at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £7.50 (concessions £5.50).
