TOP TIP of the week: take your invites to the post office!

When you have spent months making your all-important wedding invites it is essential that they arrive through your guests' letter boxes.

Postage prices have changed significantly over recently years and both weight and size now dictate how much postage you will need.

It is well worth visiting your nearest Post Office to get your invites weighed individually. Don't just guess and use a first class stamp as they may never reach your guests.

Worse still, your guests may be asked to pay for the difference.

Remember to work postage into your budget and if you are going for RSVP postcards think about whether you will put stamps on before you send them. All this extra cost adds up especially if you have a big guest list.

One other tip to remember is to make sure that your invites fit into their envelopes. Embellishments may prevent your card from fitting into its original envelope so try to avoid having to pay out for twice as many by having a practise run.
