Tia's our Yorkshire's Got Talent star

YOUNG singing prodigy Tia Trelor was named our 2011 Yorkshire’s Got Talent winner in front of a 300-strong audience.

Tia performed California King Bed by Rihanna to beat off competition from 16 other acts to win the first prize of a five-song recording session at Rotherham’s Music Factory.

Bethany Reddy won second place, receiving a £100 cash prize and a one-song recording session while Duo Freya and Luke were third place—winning a £50 cash prize and a one-song recording session courtesy of The Music Factory, Rotherham.

All three winning acts will be invited to represent the Advertiser at public events.

Events manager Tracie Midgley said: “We were absolutely blown away this year by both the standard of the talent and the support given by all of the contestants’ family and friends.

“I would like to thank all of those that took part in the competition, they all deserved their place in the final and all gave a fantastic performance on the night.”
