THEATRE: Showstopper! at Sheffield Lyceum tonight

The players in Showstopper! have no scripts — these ten, brave actors and musicians expect the audience to inspire their lines.

The show is an improvised comedy musical, drawing on observers’ suggestions to drive the action (and the songs).

Fresh from the West End, it comes to Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre tonight (Wednesday), for one night only.

Each performance sees a brand new, unique musical crafted in an onstage-offstage collaboration.

Whether it’s Rodgers and Hammerstein on a ferris wheel or a little Sondheim on Mount Everest, you suggest it and the Showstoppers will sing it.
