THEATRE: Remembering soul legend Aretha Franklin at Civic

AN EVENING of sweet soul music will remember the late singing legend Aretha Franklin.

Soul Diva: A Tribute to Aretha Franklin will shake Rotherham Civic Theatre for one night only, on September 15.

The show stars BBC talent show The Voice’s Letitia George, backed by her band.

Expect to hear high-energy hits like I Say a Little Prayer, Think, Respect, Chain of Fools and A Natural Woman.

Franklin (76) — soul singer and movie star, civil rights and women’s rights activist — died at home in Detroit on August 16.
