Sylvester stars at sci-fi and fantasy event

The seventh “Doctor”, also known for his role as Radaghast in The Hobbit, will be meeting and greeting fans of the show at Elsecar Comic-Con at Elsecar Heritage Centre alongside co-star Sophie Aldred, who played his assistant Ace.

The full-day event next Sunday gives fans the perfect chance to get their geek on, with the pesky Gremlins also putting in an appearace.

You can also outrun the rolling boulder, dodge the poison darts and avoid the snakes, and have your photo taken with the iconic idol of them all from  Raiders Of The Lost Ark.  

Superheroes dropping by include Bumblebee, Spider-Man and Mos Eisley Misfits, who bring the spirit of the Stars Wars cantina to live.

As well as guests and attractions, there are comic creators, authors and loads of geeky traders with tons of geeky toys, comics, collectables, art, jewellery and gaming kit.

Fancy dress is welcome and there will be a Cosplay Championship for those keen on making their own outfits.
