Sunflowers blooming across the borough

Sunflower season is upon us, and some towering specimens have been blooming around the borough.

Few will match up to Susan Jones’ spectacular bloom which has been measured at a massive 13 feet.

Susan said: “It is growing in my back garden which is very small but full of plants as I am keen on gardening.

“Ther’s no big secret to growing it — just watering now and then with tomato food.”
