Student's fashion show to help fund African mission

Amelia-Kate Blackburn-Oliver (14) is putting on the event at the Carlton Park Hotel on Tuesday.

The catwalk evening, which begins at 7pm, will feature clothes from Parkgate shop London Connection, as well as a raffle, cupcake stall and fundraising scratchcard game.

Tickets are priced at £6 each, including refreshments, and are available by emailing Amelia-Kate’s mum, Eve, at [email protected].

Eve said: “The funds raised on the night are to go towards an expedition to East Africa. 

“My daughter Amelia-Kate and a few of her peers have volunteered to go out to Tanzania for a month and do some hard manual labour, helping the locals there erect fences, laying building foundations and sinking wells to name but a few tasks — all to help the environment and community.”
