Strawberry tea fund-raiser in Herringthorpe

It takes place at St Mary’s Church, Herringthorpe Valley Road, from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, August 29.

Host Emma Borrill-Townsend said: “I started this last year after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and seeing the effect it has on everyone.

“It encouraged me to try and raise both money and awareness for the charity. I raised £605 last year and my aim is to beat it this time.”

There will be tea, coffee and soft drinks, many types of cakes including allergy-friendly, a raffle and games.
