Stepping Out for new production

A THEATRE company preparing for their new production welcomed a helping hand from another group for whom the final curtain has fallen.

Rotherham Rep, who are at the Civic again next month, were given £500 by members of Greasbrough Operatic Society, which has folded after almost 100 years of entertaining Rotherham audiences.

The donation was made from GOS' remaining funds to help keep amateur arts going.

The money will go towards the finale costumes for the Rep's next production of the classic feel-good play Richard Harris' Stepping Out, which will be performed from June 7 to 10.

Stepping Out tells the story of a diverse group of characters with different ages, gender, backgrounds and ability who attend a local tap-dancing class and then suddenly receive an exciting invitation.

Tickets are said to be selling well but are still available on 01709 823621 or visit https://rotherhamtheatres.ticketsolve.com/shows/1173617885 to book online.
