Speeding blitz on busy roads

A BLITZ on speeding will see officers conducting patrols on 14 of the borough’s busiest routes during the coming week.

A team from the South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership will be patrolling the various locations from Monday (29) in an effort to cut road casualties by killing motorists’ speed.

The locations subject to patrols include: A57, Anston; Rowms Lane, Swinton; Meadow Bank Road, Kimberworth; Mansfield Road, Wales Bar; Doncaster Road, Dalton and Thrybergh; and Bawtry Road, Brinsworth.

The other roads subject to patrols are: Bawtry Road, Wickersley and Brecks; Bawtry Road and Rotherham Road, Hellaby and Maltby; Sandygate, Wath; School Road, Wales Road and Station Road, Wales and Kiveton Park; Doncaster Road, Wath; Melton Green, West Melton; Middle Lane South, Herringthorpe; and Pontefract Road, Brampton.
