Singers’ success in proving different can mean delightful

A BAND night raised more than £1,100 for a charity aimed at challenging perceptions of disability.

JustDifferent, which aims to help the disabled while educating children and young people about disability and difference, organised the evening of music at Silverwood Miners’ Welfare Club.

The event, which raised £1,184.30, featured guitarists Joel Wood, Katie Greaves and Tom Stuart, as well as a disco and an auction for beauty-based prizes like a tattoo session, gel nails treatment and holistic therapies vouchers.
