Scarily-fun day out at Waverley

OH help, oh no it’s a Gruffalo...

The scary (or not so scary) children’s book character was spotted in Waverley, along with Frozen favourite Elsa and Rotherham’s own Chuckle Brothers.

More than 40 scarecrows were displayed as part of a competition organised by Waverley Residents’ Association and arts group ArtWorks to build community spirit.

Artist Matthew Hamblett, who made two scarecrows for the festival, is pictured enjoying the occasion.
